About

My wife and I live in a small town in Southern Illinois near St Louis, Missouri. Our town has less than 5,000 people, but tens of thousands of trees, which provide ample supply for my green woodworking. After over 30 years of teaching, I retired following the ’21-’22 school year to pursue other interests. I’m in my shop doing some woodworking most every day. If I’m not there, I am often tending to our extensive gardens or trying some new recipes with the fresh fruits and vegetables they provide. If that’s not on tap, I’m making my way into the city to sing with the two fabulous choruses to which I belong: The St Louis Symphony Chorus, and the Bach Society of St Louis.
